Area 2 Riding Club events cannot run without the generous help of our volunteers. Each club is allocated various roles throughout the year, so if you would like to help at an event have a look at the rota below to see which event your club will be helping at. If your club isn't rota'd for an event and you would still like to help then please contact Chris Rogers at rogerschristine@hotmail.com I'm sure she would be happy to get you involved.
For more information on what to do as a volunteer please read the Volunteers booklet - link below
How are 'jobs' allocated?
A rota for the jobs at all the events for a 'season' is produced and sent to the volunteer coordinators, who let Chris know which jobs they would like for their club. These are then allocated equally across all the clubs in the area, irrespective of how many members they have and numbers competing, as it is done at the start of the season. A completed rota is then published which I send to all the volunteer coordinators and it is also put on the website
Fence judging for the horse trials or the challenge are not included in the initial rota, but ask only those clubs who enter teams to provide fence judges, the number is dependant on the number of teams they enter, a little like volunteers are asked for at championships. So if a club has a few teams competing they will be asked to provide more volunteers than a club with only one team, it usually works out as one pair of fence judges per team.
